SG status!

WHOO HOO….What a way to start off the new year…CH Sparkling Acres Elegant Dream received her SG status!!

2011…

August 25–NJ State 4-H Dairy Goat Show…Ringoes, NJ

Tim entered the state showring this year with mixed emotions…he was happy to be competing, but this would be his last 4-H show, as he is officially aging out of 4-H.  The mixed emotions turned to sheer happiness as Tim won NJ 4-H’s prestegious Kohrs Trophy with his yearling ‘DJ‘.  The Kohrs Trophy is a perpetual award (started in 1960) for first freshening does that were bred by, born to, and continiously owned by the 4-H member. Tim’s name now appears on the trophy 3 times…as he also won the trophy in 2010 with ‘Sweet Dreams‘ and in 2005 with ‘Like A Diamond’.  CONGRATULATIONS TIM & DJ!!

July–ADGA National Dairy Goat Show…Springfield, Massachussetts

We’re very proud of the does we took to Massachussetts…especially our yearling…who we originally didn’t plan on taking!  Tim had faith in that little doe though, and he wasn’t leaving Jersey without her!!
