Oliver was sold as a kid to the Rinaldo family in Connecticut.  When we got word that the Rinaldo’s were downsizing their herd and Oliver was for sale, we thought he might be just what we were looking for.  It’s our hope that Oliver will cross back into the herd and be a great influence on upcoming generations.  We’ve heard that Oliver has had one daughter appraised, and her score was VG86.  Oliver is a full brother to Sparkling Acres Hot Shot, owned by Welbian Farms…and with that comes lots of potential!

Welcome home Oliver!  We brought Oliver home on August 25th.  We thought he would be pretty stressed out – travelling from Connecticut, a new home, being clipped, and a bath…but he’s adjusted just fine!  A perfect gentleman while being clipped (he held his head perfectly still, while on the milking stand, for us to clip his head – with the clipmaster clippers! Most of our does aren’t that well behaved!!).

Oliver is upstanding buck with great power and width throughout…and WOW! What a beautiful head!!  Disappointingly, Oliver wasn’t appraised this year.  Oliver seemed to have been bitten by something under his eye prior to appraisal, appeared to be slightly Copper deficient, as our does were last year, was COLD from being newly clipped, and coming into rut…poor boy!  It’s a shame that we opted out of appraising him…he should have done well!

Oliver will be working for the Stonecroft herd in Macungie PA for the 2010-2011 year.
