“Lucy”, purchased by Kristie as a young kid, continues to shine more and more each year!  Lucy has been a wonderful foundation doe for Kristie’s LaMancha herd, as well as an amazing showmanship doe.  A truly lovely doe, Lucy is tall, long, level, and very dairy with a beautiful mammary system.  Lucy is strong in feet and legs and in the length and levelness of her topline.  We were thrilled and honored to have Lucy appraise EX92!

For 2 successive years, our LaMancha buck (2 different years…2 different bucks!!) did not come through and settle the does, so, for 2 years Lucy was bred to our Oberhasli buck.  Lucy’s 2010 Recorded Grade daughter, Rilee, remains in our herd, and we absolutely love her! What a sweet, great milking doe!  Lucy’s 2011 daughter, California Lily, is owned by a local 4-H’er.

There was no doubt that Lucy would travel to the 2011 National Show with us last summer…and she sure seemed to enjoy the trip! Lucy was 3rd place aged doe with 1st place udder!!

We are all excited to have Lucy bred to our new LaMancha herdsire, Little Orchard Wild Rumors!! We can’t help but wonder what Lucy will bless us with this spring… as they’ll be full LaMancha…and we’ve promised Kristie she can keep a little doe!
